An Impaled, Globular, Smooth-Skinned Drupe
A diminutive person whose first name reminds one of a large, carven, orange,
globular, gourd-like fruit and whose last name reminds one of the keratinous
antlerlike protuberances projecting from the crania of many variaties of
cattle, both feral and tame, rested upon his haunches in an area enjoying
close proximity to the angle formed by two walls meeting in a vertical line,
consuming a pastry dish which is characterized by a thin upper and lower layer
of dough joined at the edges, and which was baked to commemorate the birth of
Jesus Christ as a human being. He (the boy) introduced one of his opposable
digits into the pastry dish, violating its seal, and impaled, javelin-like, a
globular smooth-skinned drupe (i.e., a one-seeded indehiscent fruit having a
hard, bony endocarp, a fleshy mesocarp, and a thin and [in this case] flexible
epicarp). Upon removing this opposable digit, the drupe, having been thrust
through, yet clung to his extremity. The boy, obviously quite pleased with
himself for having executed so flawlessly this dazzling display of eye/hand
coodination, proceeded to verbally pat himself on the back.
