The above image was created with Painter 5 from Fractal Design. Starting with a clip-art image of a goose, I colorized it by making bezier shapes of particular colors, and then setting the compositing method to "Gel." The text was also created in Painter 5: I wrote the main words in URW Flavius Bold, converted them to floaters, and applied a surface texture based on the text-shaped mask.
