The Filiform Appendages of African Catfish
"Hey, you! Yeah, the guy who amputates, at the base, the filiform appendages
of African catfish! First, I would like you to engage in that action using,
as the recipient thereof, a shoat (barrow or yilt, take your pick). Next, I
would like you to opine about the total number of pigmented, imbricated
filiments necessary for the completion of a peruke."
He replies, "Two dozen will be sufficient."
Upon which the first speaker, gratified to receive this tidbit, attempted to
remunerate the other by offering him a small preparation of dehydrated,
comminuted leaves of a tall, South American annual with large ovate to
lanceolate foliage. This preparation was to be inhaled to produce some sort
of desirable sensation.
